About: An American civil rights activist and former African studies instructor, Rachel Anna Dolezal born on Nov 12, 1977 in Lincoln Country, Montana United States. She was president of the National Association for the Advancement of colored People (NAACP) chapter in Spokane, Washington from 2014 until June 15, 2015, when she resigned about the allegations that she lied about her racial identity and other aspects of her biography.
Rachel Dolezal Parents:
She is born in Nov 12, 1977 to parents Ruthane and Lawrence. Her parents have been married since 1974. Rachel has an older biological brother, Joshua. Rachel’s parents adopted three African-American children and on Haitian child. Rachel claims that she was born and lived in Teepee, recounting how the family haunts for their food and she also said that she lived in South Africa as a child but her family disputes that claim. According to her mother’s statement, she and Dolezal’s father lived in Teepee in 1974 three years before the birth of Rachel.
Education of Rachel Dolezal:
She was home schooled via the Christian Liberty Acedemy Class Program, with 4.0 GPA. She was also awarded with $2000 scholarship by Tandy Leather for their entry in their 1996 Leather Art Contest. After high school studies she attended Belhaven University in Jackson, Mississipi receiving her bachelor’s degree in 2000.
She also completed her masters from historically black college, Howard University in Washington DC in 2002. She used different type of arts work to educate children on different topics such as on civil rights issue.
From 2008-2010, she was education director at the Human Rights Education Institute in Coeur d’Alene, Ldano before resigned due to alleged discrimination. She works as hairdresser in 2015.
Personal Life today:
Rachel Dolezal is bisexual. In 2000, she married Kevin Moore, an African-American man. He was a medical student at Howard University at the time of their marriage. In 2004, they divorced. Moore accused Dolezal of lying and poisoning his relationship with their son.
In 2015 Feb, according to article in The Easterner, she said that she had suffered from Cervical Cancer in 2006, but had recovered by 2008.
In 2016 June, she delivers a son, whom she has named Langston in honor of writer Langston Hughes.
